E-Z Weld Primer / Cleaner is a blend of solvents formulated to soften and swell and clean PVC and CPVC Pipes and Fittings. Primer penetrates the surface of the pipe and the fitting to be joined therefore; the use of primer will provide a stronger joint. It is highly recommended that primer should be used on the installation of larger than 3” diameter.
Application
E-Z Weld Primer/Cleaner may be used on all PVC and CPVC pipes and fittings, all sizes and all schedules. Apply liberal coat to the outer surface of the pipe end and the inner surface of the fitting socket using a dauber supplied with the can or other suitable applicator. Do not puddle primer into the socket. Unlike pipe cleaner do not wipe off primer. Apply cement according to the instructions on the label of cement while primer is still wet.
Always follow instructions on the label.

Certification
NSF and IAMPO (UPC) do not have a standard to certify a Primer/Cleaner. If local code requires the use of Primer this product or any other Primer/Cleaner should not be used.
Quality Assurance
Every batch of cement is carefully checked and monitored to assure consistently high quality standards. Records of every batch are kept. A sample of every batch is taken and kept at least one year. All ingredients are purchased from approved suppliers.

Ensure adequate ventilation to avoid vapor build up which may cause flash fire. Vapor build up may also cause dizziness, headaches or eye watering. If symptoms are experienced use respiratory protection (NOISH/MSHA TC 23 c or equivalent) or leave are and provide more fresh air. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing by use of safety glasses and gloves. Professionals should consult ASTM Standard F 402-93 Safe Handling of Solvent Cements, Primers and Cleaners Used for Joining Thermoplastic Pipe and Fittings. Professional users should also read the Material Safety Data Sheet for the product.
Inhalation: If breathing is difficult vacate to fresh air. If breathing problems persist seek immediate medical attention.
Eyes: Flush eyes thoroughly with water for 15 minutes. Get immediate medical attention.
Internal: If swallowed give 1 or 2 glasses of water immediately, call physician, hospital or poison control immediately. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
